Class INFO
Track types
Short Track (ST) Classic oval style racing, often described as intense and fast-paced, with close-quarters racing and a heavy focus on getting a good start. Front brakes are not permitted.
Tourist Trophy (TT) A purpose-built non-oval, with at least 1 right hand turn and a jump of some sort, requiring riders to master both right turns, left turns, and launching into the air once per lap.
Youth classes
Designed for younger riders, these classes focus on age-appropriate engine sizes and skill development, knobby tires allowed for all youth classes.
Mini-E Bike (Stacyc) (2-7 years) Entry level/beginner class that will be split pending entry count, rider ages, and wheel sizes. FREE CLASS
50cc (4-8 years) Air-cooled entry-level class for the youngest competitors.
50cc (4-8 years) Production chain drive bikes, with more experienced youth racers.
65cc (7–11 years) 65cc maximum, but allows performance modifications within specified limits.
85cc (9–13 years) 85cc maximum, but allows certain modifications for enhanced performance.
AMATEUR CLASSES
These classes cater to riders transitioning from youth categories or entering the sport at an older age. Flat track tires required on all rear wheels, unless otherwise noted.
Pitbike Air-cooled bikes up to 200cc for riders 12+ years of age. Knobby tires are allowed COSTUMES ENCOURAGED
Maddog Air-cooled bikes up to 200cc for riders 12+ years of age. This class is for more serious racers than the Pitbike class. Knobby tires are allowed.
Women open to all of our lady riders 12+ years of age, bike size 85cc minimum. Knobby tires are allowed.
Knobby This class is targeted at amateur riders and those wanting to try flat track with minimal changes to their bikes. Ages 14+ and 125cc minimum bike size. Knobby tires are required.
250cc Amateur Ages 12+ and up, and focuses on 250cc motorcycles.
450cc Amateur Open to 250cc and 450cc riders. Ages 12+ on 250cc and 14+ on 450cc. Class designed for more experienced amateurs still growing their skills.
40+ Riders aged 40 and above, no bike size limit.
Vintage Any motorcycles from 1988 and older
Professional classes
The top tier of racing, these classes are for experienced racers, providing monetary payouts with varying structures for the main events. All of these classes require flat track tires.
Hooligan $$ Stock-framed motorcycles with 649cc+ engines; modifications are limited to bolt-on applications, maintaining original geometry. This class is part of Grand National Hooligan Championship West series. For more information, see the GNHC rules. GNHC number plates are required to be eligible for payout and points.
Sportsman Up and coming amateurs who want to race against the pros but don't want to make the full jump yet. Must be an experienced/established amateur or Pro class rider
Open Pro For experienced riders only, ages 16+
Open Quad 4 wheeler class, 250cc or greater engines
